Reeler

Reeler are an Indie/ Alternative Rock group from Bilbao, Basque Country. Formed in 2023, the band's diverse lineup -spanning English, Irish, Polish, and Basque backgrounds- reflects the eclectic character of their sound. Drawing on influences like Blur, The Buzzcocks, and The Beatles, they blend the classic energy of 60's, 70's, and 90's guitar bands with a modern twist, creating a sound equal parts nostalgic and progressive. Since their formation, Reeler have started to make their mark, winning Rockein 2025, performing alongside El Inquilino Comunista and Mourn, earning a spot among EITB's Top 20 New Bands and featured in Mondo Sonoro and Aux Magazine. Reeler's latest single "Hangxiety" (released October 2024) is a slacker indie ode to the nearly ubiquitous experience of soul wrenching, hangover induced anxiety. In 2024, Reeler released their mixtape EPs: MIXTAPE (WHITE) and MIXTAPE (BLACK). These self-produced releases highlight the band's contrasting styles. The WHITE EP features bright, catchy, melody-driven tracks, while the BLACK EP delivers a darker, heavier, more abrasive sound. Both EPs were mastered by Pete Maher, known for his work with The Rolling Stones, Jack White and The Pixies.
