René Tenenjou René Tenenjou is a Cameroonian-born multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter based in Hamburg, Germany. Growing up in a family of musicians, he began playing instruments and writing songs at an early age, developing a deep passion for rhythm, melody and storytelling. His music blends Afro-Jazz, Bossa Nova, Afrobeat and Latino Jazz, creating a warm and vibrant sound that reflects both his African roots and international influences. With soulful melodies, rich grooves and expressive vocals, René Tenenjou builds musical bridges between cultures and continents. Alongside his career in music, René moved to Germany in 2004 to study film in Hamburg, where he worked as a cameraman and director for various media productions. Music, however, remained his constant companion and creative center. Today, performing with René Tenenjou & Band, he delivers energetic live performances that combine jazz sophistication, African rhythms and Latin grooves. His music invites listeners to travel, dance and connect through the universal language of sound.
