Hailing from the north shore of Massachusetts, Return Address formed out of a desire to recapture the spark of early 2010s emo-leaning bands like Citizen and Balance & Composure. After firing off three standalone singles from late 2022 into mid 2023, December of that year saw the release of their debut EP Fault of Introspection. The EP takes the foundations of those influences and builds on them, creating something wholly Return Address's own, expanding outward in every direction. They're both catchier and heavier, more dynamic and darker, than anything they'd done before. The band's newest single "Out of Spite" continues down that path. Produced, engineered, and mixed by the band's own Mike Janinno, and then mastered by Kris Crummett (Eidola, Callous Daoboys, Dance Gavin Dance), it's the apotheosis of everything Return Address has been working toward over the past few years.
