Riccardo Bonsanto

(ITA) Riccardo Bonsanto è un cantautore di Ivrea, una piccola città del Piemonte, nel nord Italia. Attratto fin da giovanissimo dalla chitarra e dalla letteratura italiana, ha pubblicato il suo album d'esordio Siamo soli, io e te (2020), che è stato accostato alla grande tradizione del cantautorato italiano e include la partecipazione del violinista Gidon Kremer in un brano. Le sue canzoni sono state descritte come intrise di atmosfere gitane e malinconiche, profondamente radicate nella narrazione e in una marcata sensibilità letteraria. Per il suo secondo album, Flâneur, registrato a Parigi, Bonsanto ha riunito un ensemble dalle influenze jazz con arrangiamenti del musicista australiano David Lewis, cofondatore della band francese Paris Combo. Drawn to guitar and Italian literature from an early age, he released his debut album Siamo soli, io e te (2020), which drew comparisons to the classic Italian cantautorato tradition and featured violinist Gidon Kremer on one track. His songs have been described as Roma-tinged and melancholic, rooted in storytelling and a strong literary sensibility. For his second album Flâneur, recorded in Paris, Bonsanto assembled a jazz-inflected ensemble with arrangements by Australian-born musician David Lewis, co-founder of the French band Paris Combo.
