A homegrown, underground techno artist.
"Art generates art. Even from the smallest fragment of a work it’s possible to create a whole new universe". With a lively and extremely open mind, Richey V challenges conventions by proposing ambitious and multifaceted responses. In his productions and DJ sets we find a constant search for emotions and contrasts, which characterise his style as an intriguing union of techno without forgetting his punk attitude. On several occasions, including Amnesia Ibiza and Social Music City, he has shared the console with renowned international DJs such as Joseph Capriati, Sam Paganini, Ilario Alicante, Nina Kravitz, Sven Väth, Adam Beyer, Ben Klock, Indira Paganotto, Chris Liebing, Laurent Garnier, Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens, Dave Clarke, I Hate Models, Sara Landry, Marcel Dettmann, Deborah De Luca, Pan-Pot, Kalkbrenner, Reinier Zonneveld, Enrico Sangiuliano, Dax J and many others. Richey V has released music on labels like REDIMENSION (Joseph Capriati) and JAM (Sam Paganini). He’s founder and main resident of VOID, a techno event that has animated Milan since 2014. After the experience with the record label Ratis, in 2023 he decided to design and found a new one: DON'T PLAY THIS AT HOME (D.P.T.H.) Records. His first album "DIE EMPTY" is a very hybrid album: from pure techno to hyperpop, from ambient to industrial, from reggaeton drums to metal guitars and rapped vocals. The UK edition of Rolling Stone magazine has just included him in the artists to watch.
Richey V plays a hybrid style of electronic music combining heavy techno with industrial textures, punk attitude, and influences ranging from ambient to metal.
Richey V is based in Milan, Italy, where he founded the long-running VOID techno event series.
