Ro James Ro James is the kind of artist who doesn’t just sing a song—he lives in it. Known for his smoky vocals, raw honesty, and genre-bending style, he’s carved a lane all his own in R&B. Born in Germany and raised between Queens and Indiana, his global roots shaped a sound that’s gritty, soulful, and rebellious. He broke through with his debut album ELDORADO (2016), led by the Grammy-nominated, triple-platinum single “Permission.” Ro became known for blending vulnerability, confidence, and edge, pushing the boundaries of modern R&B. After years on major labels, Ro took full creative control. On June 6, 2025, he dropped his first independent single, “On Me”—a sultry, emotionally rich track about love, loyalty, and self-accountability. It’s Ro James unfiltered: honest, bold, and rooted in soul. "On Me" marks the beginning of a new chapter. With more music on the horizon, Ro James is proving that evolution is not just possible — it’s powerful.
