Since starting out playing the drums and making beats with GarageBand loops in 3rd grade, North Carolina artist Rohan Rali has come a long way. He began recording music in 2019, has several high performing singles and two studio albums, 2024's A PHOENIX NEVER DIES and 2025's THE THUNDERBIRD. He has also seen success with various singles such as dangerous (feat. Spazi ), sunrise in LA, Pt. 1 (feat. Kodoku & Darius King), 2AM IN CHAPEL HILL (feat. roshi! & JAAN) and 9PM IN RALEIGH. His most notable collaborations have been with fellow NC artist & producers Roxby, JAAN, roshi!, 5hiv, & more. A PHOENIX NEVER DIES was Rali's first official album, release in May 2024. The project featured aggressive, lyrical and energetic flows over production inspired by Kanye West’s Yeezus & Travis Scott’s UTOPIA . The album centered around a protagonist based on Rali's teenage years named PHOENIX RALI and his journey of personal growth. THE THUNDERBIRD. was Rali's 2nd studio album, and focused much more on sound and melodies than intricate storytelling. The album follows Rali living the past year of his life, filled with traveling, only to finally end up back home in 27519. The production was headed by baad beats collective and was mixed & mastered by JAAN for a psychedelic, catchy, & unique sound inspired by Justin Timberlake's FutureSex/LoveSounds Deluxe Edition, Kanye West's 808s & Heartbreak, and Tame Impala's Currents.
