An underground brass band act.
Birthed from a telluric reaction at the perihelion of Jupiter and Saturn, Rolland Merguez was founded by 13 forerunners whose sole purpose was to conjugate perfect harmony and space-time warping groove to create the mystic funk pulsar. Rolland Merguez’s technophile pioneers are based in Paris. To succeed in their mission, their brass band is guided by their muse, the Interstellar Diva on the mic. They play an energetic mix of funk, soul, hip-hop and electronic music with a brassy influence. Their trumpet players are the quaternions that spins the audience into the 4th dimension. Their saxophones are the three-body system that anchors the melodic foundation. A pair of intricate trombonists amplifies the cosmos’ vibrations. All of this while the crew is orbiting around the rhythmic nucleus. When the sousaphonist turns on his hypersonic subwoofer, the party is ready for take-off. Put your moonwalk shoes on: Rolland Merguez takes you on a celestial journey.
