An underground underground hip hop artist.
ROMSKI grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area city of the Santa Clara known to those who grew up there as Mission City, due to the 18th century Spanish mission that serves as the center piece of the Santa Clara University campus in which ROMSKI lived down the block from. Influenced by hip-hop at an early age, ROMSKI was captivated by the sounds of the new art form. ROMSKI became a documentarian of his own personal experiences living in Mission City while being brought up on the eastern end of town growing up near the railroad yard, empty lots and downtown San Jose’s skyline as being part of the norm—ROMSKI was an outsider on the edge of town chronicling life and times in The Mission City. The artistry that is being presented is a fusion of diverse genres that speaks to the universal language of human experience. His sound is a journey through layered textures and infectious rhythms, inviting listeners to move and reflect in equal measure. He effortlessly blends genres, crafting unique soundscapes that are both introspective and electrifying. His music transcends boundaries, drawing inspiration from classical compositions to create a contemporary soundscape that is both familiar and utterly unique. A sonic tapestry woven from diverse threads, creating an eccentric and captivating soundscape. He fuses the grit of hip-hop with the groove of funk and soul, layering it all with soul-stirring melodies and electronic textures reminiscent of classical grandeur.
