The Risen Dread

The Risen Dread is a metal band from Dublin, Ireland, known for their intense sound, dark atmosphere, and explosive live performances. Since forming in 2019, the band has risen from the Irish underground to the international stage, earning a loyal following through relentless touring and uncompromising creativity. After making waves with their debut EP Delusions (2019), The Risen Dread solidified their presence with the critically acclaimed full-length Night Hag (2022). Written and recorded during the global pandemic, Night Hag captured the band’s evolving sound and featured a guest appearance from Andreas Kisser of Sepultura on the single “White Night.” In 2024, the band released the single “Betrayal” and embarked on an extensive South American tour, performing across Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. Building on that momentum, The Risen Dread entered the studio in early 2025 to record their most ambitious work to date, Death From Above via Time To Kill Records—a ferocious and atmospheric new chapter that pushes the band’s sound to even greater extremes. The album captures themes of chaos, resilience, and defiance, solidifying The Risen Dread’s status as one of Europe’s most promising modern metal acts. To celebrate the release, the band is set to embark on an EU summer tour, bringing Death From Above to stages across the continent. Having previously performed at Wacken Open Air (2022) and joined Vader and Marduk on the United Titans Tour.
