Sam Ruffillo is an Italian DJ, producer, studio wizard, and a key artist of Berlin label Toy Tonics. His music blends house, groove and playful Mediterranean aesthetics with a fresh, sun-soaked twist rooted in his Italian heritage. Ruffillo has performed across Europe and toured Australia, Latin America, Indonesia and the United States, with appearances at iconic venues and events including Panorama Bar, Circoloco at DC10 Ibiza and Sónar Barcelona. His acclaimed Italianissimo series and collaborations with Barbara Boeing, Fimiani and Kapote have gained support from Gerd Janson, Palms Trax, DJ Tennis and Seth Troxler, while tracks like Danza Organica, Perfetta Così and Mediterranea became staples of summer sets and received significant support on Italian radio. In 2025, Ruffillo released his debut album, Tipo Così, on Toy Tonics. Written and recorded in Bologna with live instruments and Italian vocals, the album moves across house, Italo and pop, combining electronic grooves with organic instrumentation and a distinctly Mediterranean sensibility. Its double vinyl edition sold out, with House Tipo Così and Ancora becoming new staples of his repertoire. His production work also includes official remixes for Mousse T., Riva Starr and DJ Ralf. Ruffillo’s music and DJ sets connect underground club culture with a broader audience, driven by feel-good rhythms and a sound that is unmistakably his own.
