SAMSAS TRAUM were formed in 1996. Since then, the band have released 13 stylistically different studio albums, several of which reached the German charts. The band’s otherness and uncompromising nature has resulted in numerous collaborations, which are as diverse as SAMSAS TRAUM’s music itself. The black metal epic ‘Heiliges Herz’ featured the pounding rhythms of AT THE GATES drummer Adrian Erlandsson, and ‘a.Ura’ featured Austrian cabaret star ALF POIER miming a zebra. SAMSAS TRAUM albums have featured the vocals of LIV KRISTINE, as well as those of Alexander Frank Spreng (ASP) and Chris Pohl (BLUTENGEL). The legendary journalist ULF KUBANKE agonised over ‘Poesie: Friedrichs Geschichte’, and ‘Scheiden tut weh’ is crowned by DORO PESCH’s guitarist LUCA PRINCIOTTA. Leader and creative force ALEXANDER KASCHTE has seen his music represented on Austrian theatre stages as well as on the soundtracks to the Hollywood blockbusters ‘SAW II’ and ‘SAW III’. Over the years, SAMSAS TRAUM have developed into a band with fixed members, with their concerts and festival appearances being eagerly attended spectacles, with impressive fan interaction. Fans are eagerly awaiting the 14th studio album, "VOTA TENEBRIS I," which will be released on June 26, 2026. Six new singles are building anticipation on Spotify – enjoy!
