sandalwood is the folk project of Nicholas LaDue (she/they), half of the indie psych folk band, goodtree. She previously had two studio albums, worn out joy and in arm's reach, and one live album released. second wind... (live at WAM) was recorded live in San Francisco, CA at Women’s Audio Mission in May 2024 and features tracks from both studio albums, as well as a new single, take it or leave - live. Her latest album is a twenty-eight song collaboration with Macy Moose, recorded in June during their tour on a one track tape recorder. It features original songs from both, some covers, some covers of each other’s songs, and many ones recorded the day they were written. Bugs Exist is a giant celebration of small things. Trans people, small artists and the songs you make up in the shower are often made invisible or overlooked - with a one track tape recorder, Bugs Exist exalts them all.
