Imagine a bearded Michael Jackson driving a monster truck through the hills of Teletubbieland. Got it? Well, that’s what Selfmachine sounds like: Groovy, melodic, heavy and damn catchy. Selfmachine is a metal band that likes to do things their own way. They exploded into the scene with their full-length album ‘Broadcast Your Identity’ that was released globally through Wormholedeath/Aural music in 2014. After playing a ton of national shows, Selfmachine embarked on their first European Tour supporting metalcore masters The Agonist in March 2015. For this record they also produced two music videos: ‘Breathe To Aspire’ and ‘Miles Away’. For their second album the band travelled to Italy to record at the Realsound Studios. The serene mountain landscapes and exquisite pizza’s gave the band the perfect focus to take their performance to the next level. ‘Societal Arcade’ saw the light of day in 2017 and was mixed and mastered by legendary producers duo Waldemar Sorychta and Dennis Koehne (Moonspell, Samael, Grip Inc.). The album was released through Wormholedeath/Aural music alongside the promotional music video for the song “Giddy-Up!”. Following the releaseshow of their sophomore album at the prestigious Melkweg venue in Amsterdam, Selfmachine went on another promotional live run that included the Netherlands, The UK, The Reeveland festival in Germany and the Metaldays 2018 Festival in Slovenia.
