Shadowthorn

I’m Josh, the songwriter and voice behind Shadowthorn. I started making this music because there were things I didn’t know how to say any other way. A lot of these songs come from real experiences, real emotions, and parts of my life I probably would’ve kept buried otherwise. The sound doesn’t really stay in one lane. Dark pop, hip-hop, rock, country, cinematic stuff—if it fits what I’m trying to say, I’ll use it. I write from the darker side of things: obsession, desire, heartbreak, addiction, anger, trauma, loneliness, and everything that comes with being human. Shadowthorn isn’t a character. It’s just the name I gave this part of me. If one of these songs makes you feel a little less alone in something you’re going through, then it did what I wanted it to do.
