Shakar Trio was formed in April 2022 by three young musicians from Budapest: Marci Székely on drums, Milán Papp on guitar, and Bálint Lendvai on keyboards. They are strongly influenced by the contemporary Hungarian scene, but also draw inspiration from foreign influences, especially the fluidity of Scandinavian jazz. They are also very fond of experimenting with crossing genre-boundaries. Their goal is for their music to cause a universal catharsis, to stir something in the listener.
