An underground world artist from the local scene.
Shaneihu Yawanawa is a man of multitudes: he is a spiritual leader, musician, hunter, father and chief of the Yawarani village. Early on, his role as a bridge between the Yawanawa people and the rest of the world led him to introduce the guitar to their vocal music tradition. Twenty years on, instruments are infused into the music and spiritual practices of the Yawanawa. Shaneihu has dedicated his life to the shamanic practices of his Yawanawa lineage, passed down through generations over thousands of years. This includes years of isolation and strict plant diets to carry out his life’s purpose – to awaken love and spirituality in all humans.
