Sharyn Maceren

Sharyn Maceren is one of the defining voices of West Coast Freestyle dance music—past, present, and future. A Filipino-American artist from the San Francisco Bay Area, she emerged at a young age as a Billboard-charting, Top 40 bestselling recording artist, songwriter, co-producer, and keyboardist. Her breakout hit, “Hard to Get” (The S Factor Version), positioned her alongside major label artists including Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott, and Usher on Billboard’s Hot Dance Maxi-Single Sales Chart. From the start, SHARYN has worked with a who’s who of West Coast Freestyle: Slammin’ Sam, Randy Taylor-Weber, Dadgel Atabay, Joe Grandberg, Sir Elegance, Haus-a-Holics, and Gold Record Producer, Glenn Gutierrez—whose credits include Stevie B, Jaya, M:G, and Jocelyn Enriquez’s “A Little Bit of Ecstasy,” recently reimagined with Cloonee as “XTC.” Lately, Sharyn teams up with producer-husband, Lenny Ruckus (Sony UK/B1, Wh0 Plays, InStereo)  and they co-produce under the alias, Starla and Vega.
