SLOWMODE Electronic Producer from Denmark, Per Ebdrup, is ready with his ambient project Slowmode. Analog synths playing long chords, deep complex drone sounds, close-miked upright piano played with a soft touch, generative modular melodies and effects, field recordings from nature, tape noise from reel to reel and cassette, reverbs and guitar pedals, absence of drums, slow tempo, simple compositions with complex sounds. "This music has really touched me. It has been a wonderful process that has brought me in contact with new sides of my musical experience and what it can do to our thoughts and feelings. It has taken me to a place where I can be calm and inspired at the same time." The result of this process can be heard on his debut album “Rest Area” and on the 2nd album House behind the hill Per gets inspiration for Slowmode's music from the nature around him. He lives in the country, near forests, fields and lakes. Sometimes he produce the music out in the forest to achieve a relaxing vibe. If you hear his music outdoors, you might experience how it integrates with natures sounds. You can listen to Per's field recordings on the album "Nordic Nature Sounds".
Slowmode plays B-SIDE in Warsaw on Saturday 19 September.
