An underground indie electronic artist.
We are Snow In Slow Motion and we make happy sad music to dance to. We love music by Soulwax, CHIC, LCD Soundsystem, Caribou, Daft Punk, Electronic, The National & Prince. We blend drum machines, synth bass, live guitar and melodic vocals into storytelling songs that hit the heart as much as the feet. Formed in Essex in 2017, we built a home studio and crafted our sound from bass-and-guitar jams looping over machines. After years of experimenting with hybrid setups, the band reshaped into a two-piece — Luke Hatley (vocals, guitars, synths) and Rob Lord (bass, backing vocals, production, drum machines). Losing our drummer pushed us to reinvent ourselves, leaning fully into electronic energy while keeping the human warmth of indie songwriting. We’ve played alongside Model Man, Little Cub, Three Birds Blind and Hemmingway, with strong support from local radio and the Chelmsford scene. Between family life, work and late-night sessions, we’re building this project the only way we know how: steadily, honestly, and with songs built to move people. facebook.com/snowinslowmotion instagram.com/snowinslowmotion
