As a composer, she draws inspiration from such varied composers as Kurt Weill, Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, Hans Werner Henze, Dizzy Gillespie and Igor Stravinsky, merging the romantic and the spiritually elevated with a dissonant, bold, edgy and satirical edge. As an improviser, her creativity and no-holds barred approach result in fresh, memorable performances that are both modern and timeless. Her CD 'TIERKREIS' was placed as nr.1 on ’Best Recorded Jazz of 2025’ in the cathegory ’Best Vocal Recordings’ by George Grella (Kill Yr Idols/Substack.) It was also nr. 2 on his 'TOP 10 New Releases in 2025’.
