South Park Mexican began rapping in the early 90s, dropping his debut album Hillwood under Dope House Records, a label he started with his brother, Arthur Coy Jr. He followed up with classics like Hustle Town, Power Moves, and The 3rd Wish to Rock the World. In 2000, he signed a million-dollar deal with Universal, releasing The Purity Album, Time is Money and Never Change. In 2001, he was accused of a crime he did not commit. Days before his trial, he recorded Reveille Park in just two days. He was sentenced to 45 years, eligible for parole in October 2024, with no physical evidence found or presented in court. While incarcerated, he released When Devils Strike in 2006, hitting the Billboard charts, followed by Last Chair Violinist in 2008. Six years later came The Son of Norma in 2014. From 2016-2018, he dropped singles with Dope World Entertainment, like The Forgotten Folders . His kids Carley Coy aka Carley Brown, Baby Los, and J.D. Coy also joined the music scene. SPM’s albums continued: Forty Eight (2018), The Devil's Mansion(2019), Telephone Road (2020), and 3 Decades of Dope Vol. 1: A Trip Through Time (2023). Dope House is dropping new SPM music, and 2024 will be a big year for fans. Day of the Wetback Freestyle dropped recently. If Animals Could Talk is set to drop before the year ends!
