From "Occupation" by Skatalites to "La la means I love you" by Alton Ellis, through "Mother and child reunion" by Pioneers and hundreds of other themes, the history of Jamaican music is full of winks to other musical styles in form of covers, making those themes as their own. Nowadays bands such as Slackers, Malarians, Aggrolites... have flirted with this formula, bringing 20th century popular music original tunes to their field. Today, Steady Rockers take the witness and make this historic formula their own, touring popular music from the 50s to the present day, without having barriers of any kind, stylistic or idiomatic.
