Born in 2001 in Poland as Mirosława Markowska, STORMIA is an art-pop singer-songwriter-producer exploring the beauty of human emotion through music. Her songwriting journey started from her poems and short stories. Her mission is to help people embrace their emotions and profoundly experience their humanity and weirdness through the worlds she encapsulates in her art-pop music. She honours her heritage by sewing Slavic folklore harmonies into brutalist compositions. STORMIA exercises her creative autonomy not only in her sonic work, but also the visual worldbuilding. She directs most of her music videos with Mikołaj Tchórzewski (VizAion Immersive), who's also co-creating the project.
