Surzae

Surzae is a Los Angeles artist who writes, produces, and performs her own blend of disco, funk, and soul. She has lived several artistic lives under other names before this one, and this one began behind the decks: years of darker, slower songs, then DJing, and the discovery that what she wanted most was to move people while making them move. Every arrangement is built from the bassline up. The artists who shaped her most, Bowie, Kate Bush, Björk, are the ones who built whole universes around their self-expression, and Surzae is her universe. The songs hold on to one idea: the hardest chapters are the ones that teach you who you are, and they can be turned into something beautiful. Her debut single, Sanctuary, is out September 7, 2026.
