Tacet Tacet Tacet

Francesco Zedde, known as Tacet Tacet Tacet, is a versatile Italian musician currently residing in Utrecht, Netherlands. The project began in 2015, with its name inspired by John Cage's famous composition, 4'33", referencing the exploration of using concrete sounds within his expressive palette. His background includes studies in classical guitar and drumming, followed by a specialisation in sound design and audio technologies, his production spans multiple genres, incorporating elements of glitch, neo-folk, IDM, noise, drone, and ambient. Live performances combine electronic sounds with dynamic real-time visuals, offering the audience a unique multisensory experience and demonstrating his focus on the concept of the musical event as a social practice, using DIY methods for their creation and organisation. Over the past eight years, Francesco has brought his musical projects (including notable acts such as Tonto and Lampredonto) to more than 600 stages across 22 different countries, releasing over 30 records with around 20 independent labels, including Econore, Selva Elettrica, and Artetetra. He has collaborated with artists such as Mark Stewart (Pop Group), Lili Refrain, Dj DNA, and Jonathan Uliel Saldanha (HHY). Additionally, he is the organiser of Discomfort Dispatch, a transnational festival dedicated to improvised music, which has hosted over 350 artists worldwide.
