An underground electrocumbia artist.
Terror/Cactus blends Latin American rhythms with electronic production, psychedelic guitar, and polyrhythmic grooves. Founded by Argentine-born producer and multi-instrumentalist Martín Selasco, the project draws from a broad range of Latin American musical traditions, creating a sound that is deeply rooted yet constantly evolving. Born in Buenos Aires, raised in Miami, and now based in the Pacific Northwest, Selasco’s work is shaped by migration, cultural exchange, and transformation. Their latest album, Colapso, pushes the project into more organic and expansive territory, bringing live drums, percussion, and saxophone into the mix. The album explores collapse as a catalyst for reinvention. Street recordings, passing voices, and fragments of urban life intertwine with ancestral textures and psychedelic atmospheres, creating music that moves between past and future, tradition and experimentation, introspection and the dancefloor. Terror/Cactus has toured across the US, Canada, Europe, Mexico, and South America, with recent festival appearances at Fusion (DE), Timber! (US), Pickathon (US), and Encuentro de Sonidos Electrónicos (CO).
Terror/Cactus plays psychedelic electro-cumbia and digital folklore, blending traditional Latin American rhythms with electronic production and psychedelic guitars.
