An underground, high-energy punk rock act.
The Black Biles formed in 2024 in the chaos of a Pennywise concert in Prague, when Matteo and Patrick decided the world needed more raw, unapologetic punk rock. Two years on, they are a fixture of the Czech underground. Four members, four nationalities, and a line-up that on paper had very little reason to end up in the same rehearsal room. That improbability is the band's greatest asset. Each member arrived carrying a different punk canon - US hardcore, Italian and Argentinian punk, British new wave swagger, the French chanson tradition - and rather than sanding those differences down, the band welded them together. Billy Idol, Bad Religion, The Misfits, Negazione, Georges Brassens, Guerilla Poubelle, Dos Minutos and Creo en Mi all live in the same songs. Fuelled by fury and a love of bands that tell the truth about the state of the world, The Black Biles play high-energy punk with no filler and no posturing. Their songs take aim at social media obsession, work pressure, inequality and religion, usually with a sharp joke buried somewhere in the chorus. Debut EP "Free Yourself" is out now. Its four tracks circle the same idea from different angles: freedom, and the work of freeing yourself from something. Recorded at Royal Records in Prague, mixed at Gafat Records in Guatemala by Fredy Guillermo. Roberto - vocals, drums. Matteo - bass, vocals. Patrick - guitar. Romain - guitar, vocals.
