The Fallback Plan

In 2020 The Fallback Plan began to make waves around their birth town of Rockdale, Texas. Featuring frontman and multi instrumentalist, Luke McKinley as well as a multitude of other members who would come and go over the next few years. After realizing that no one could love his dream more than him, Luke would ultimately make the decision to stop searching for permanent band members and start focusing on making the kind of music that was as “true to self” as possible. With inspiration from bands like Knuckle Puck and blink-182, The Fallback Plan has had a tendency to gravitate towards the midwest emo and pop punk sound on past records like Lemonade Stand Millionaires and No Heroes, Just Ghosts! In more recent years, Luke would set his sights on a sound that was more true to his upbringings as a musician. Inspired by the sound of his life long, favorite band Avenged Sevenfold, with ideas from other powerful bands like The Plot In You and Periphery, the 2025 album, Where The Light Gets In would be written from a place of angst and unsolicited revelations about his family history. Upon rediscovering a positive relationship with God, Luke has since begun putting pen to paper in an effort to write lyrics that are more faith based and Christ honoring.
