An underground, high-energy garage rock act.
The Jackson Pollock are just two people who started a band not because it's cool, but 'cause they felt it too bad. Known for their fiery live shows, Emily sings and plays (or rather, she smashes!) her drums right before the audience, she has a definitely personal style, never seen before, and alternates her sweet and melodic singing, that makes the hearts tremble, and deranged screams, flesh possessed by the devil. Davide, the guitarist, fuels her fire by offering powerful and enchanting riffs, generated by homemade effects and ancient modded amplifiers, creating an energetic and emotional mix. Chewing up kilometers after kilometers for concerts, they spread their music from iconic stages such as the Fusion Festival in Germany or SXSW in Texas, to more DIY, passion-driven realities and rave parties, transmitting the joy of playing, with a carefree mind, putting aside pre-packaged schemes or classic recipes and references, enjoying the moment and the beauty of doing it together. Their new EP "Not Yesterday, Nor Tomorrow" will be released on March 21st by the Italian label Black Stuff. A preview of the full album, to be released in September by the German label Rookie Records, which reveals the originality of a band that digs their own furrow and that shows that behind the punk fury of their live sets there are some shiny beautiful songs.
They play energetic garage punk and noise rock, combining sweet melodic vocals with raw, distorted guitar riffs.
The band consists of Emily on drums and vocals and Davide on guitar.
They are an independent underground act known for touring extensively across Europe and performing at festivals like SXSW and Fusion Festival.
