A nostalgic, underground surf rock act.
THE MINARETS: Fowzy Butt, Morgan King, Nadir Naqvi, Benny Trokan It's 1966. You're at the Scotch Lounge in Karachi, Pakistan. The room is filled with a crowd whose long, thin cigarettes release plumes of pale hypnotic haze. The lights dim and the curtain draws... Standing before you are The Minarets. Four striking lads in matching, bespoke suits, towering from above and poised to beseech you with the flash and panache of their instrumental prowess. It's 2026. The Minarets partner up with global leader in surf music Hi-Tide Recordings and share the first glimpse at the debut album with new single "Gallows Run" - streaming September 22. "Gallows Run" finds The Minarets somewhere between Joe Meek and a dusty spaghetti western," says bassist Morgan King. "It starts off with a wallop and barrels forward like a runaway freight train to the very last note. There’s a real suspense to it - like the soundtrack to a chase scene in the Old West - so it felt like the perfect track to announce what’s next.” Welcome The Minarets from NYC! Debut album coming Spring 2027 from Hi-Tide Recordings
