The Oklahoma Kid
THE OKLAHOMA KID - a modern metal experience. Known for their very own blend of genres, the german band never falls shy of pushing the boundaries and breaking old conventions. The first single PALE TONGUE of their upcoming full length takes everyone on a disturbing trip with psychedelic visuals and heavy rhythms. After their debut album SOLARRAY was released in September 2019 via Arising Empire, a tour supporting Imminence with Acres across 21 cities Europe followed. Struck by the global pandemic, The Oklahoma Kid set their focus on writing new music, with one simple goal in mind, to best themselves and give every fan something to crave for. The new single PALE TONGUE was recorded and produced by Jan Kerscher (Ghost City Recordings) - mixed and mastered by Lance Prenc (Alpha Wolf, Polaris, Dealer). The single is heavy influenced by early millennial industrial music and neue deutsche Härte. Therefore, the band met up with Pavel Trebukhin inside a bunker to create a striking visual experience for their first single. “We are always trying to get different influences into our music, that’s why we were looking for a producer outside our genre, to get some new input. When we first met up with Jan, we know he was a perfect match to record and produce our next album.” - Andreas Reinhard The “The Good Fellas Tour” will be The Oklahoma Kid’s first headline tour presented by Contra Promotion, taking place in 7 cities through Germany in October 2022.
