The Raskins describe their sound as "Retro-Rock" and upon hearing their self-titled debut album, many will instantly agree. Comprised of twins Roger and Logan Raskin, the duo is equally at home offering up such rocking tunes as the single "We Had It All," and more pop-oriented fare as "Open Our Eyes" and the current Hot AC hit song "On The Radio." With touring scheduled throughout the world following The Raskins self titled album release, look for exciting things to come from this young up and coming band straight out of Chelsea NYC. Throughout rock history, we have seen several brother tandems that have left a deep impression - Don and Phil Everly, Angus and Malcolm Young, Eddie and Alex Van Halen, etc. And soon, rock fans will be introduced to the next brother-led rock band that is sure to leave their mark. The Raskins formed several years ago by twins Roger and Logan Raskin, the union originally began as a mere writing project for producer Greg Ladanyi and manager Jerry Greenberg President of Atlantic Records. Several demos were cut and the brothers realized they were on to something creatively electrifying and different. The Raskins were born. The Raskins are a throwback to the days of when bands weren't as confined stylistically. Case in point, the bros list such wide-ranging artists as Kiss, the Buzzcocks, Jim Croce, the Temptations, Frank Sinatra, and Sex Pistols as influences. As a result, the "rock/retro" tag that the Raskins like to go by is indeed well fitting.
