Originally released only on cassette as a sister companion to our album Dreams, it draws from the same late-night, early-light, dream-saturated world of regret, hope and longing. --- We are London based pop-art-pop troubadours, formed in 2001 by band leader and producer Stephen Coates after a strange experience in a sewer and a dream of the actress Tuesday Weld. We mix up old jazz sounds, dream songs and electronica and call it ‘Antique Beat’. Reluctant scene- joiners, we run our own arts label and events, score films and perform in strange locations with animated backdrops.
