The Schoolmen are a rock-n-roll band out of Austin, Texas, who have reunited after a twenty year hiatus, still producing new music! Singer-songwriter-guitarist Jeff Leon, bassist Max Willis, and drummer-vocalist Jeff Hankins met in grad school in Austin in the late 80s, and formed a power trio that became a classic four piece lineup with the addition of Dee Meador on lead guitar and vocals. They played in Austin and San Antonio until 2004, when drummer Jeff Hankins moved to Rustin, Louisiana to join the faculty at Louisiana Tech. After Hankins moved back to Texas, the Schoolmen reunited to compose new music and gig around Austin.
