The Slightest Bits are a Portland-based arty alt-punk trio founded in 2021. Heavily influenced by bands like Sparks and NoMeansNo, the band prefers not being boxed into a single genre and makes a point to be continuously evolving. Often written from a variety of character’s perspectives rather than their own, the lyrics can be strange, funny, confusing, and aggressively satirical. The group released their debut EP in 2023 with original members Travis Goetz and Lorne Jensen, followed by the single "Peg Me" that fall. The current lineup features Andrew Matthews (guitar), Andres Avila (bass), and founding member Violet Luna (drums). Their May 2025 single, "How Could She Do This?", is the first release with the current lineup.
