An underground southern gothic act.
Italian swamp-rock band formed in 2010 in Milano. In the same year they released their first EP and signed with the Berlin based label Pale Musik. The band recorded 2 albums at the Funkhaus, the former GDR broadcasting studios, in Berlin. Early Morning Scum (2012) recorded by Tom Schwoll (Jingo de Lunch) featuring the Australian drummer Chris Hughes (Mick Harvey/These Immortal Souls/Hugo Race) The Chosen One (2016) recorded by Tom Schwoll and produced by Kristof Hahn (Swans). In December 2021 they signed with the Swedish label Beluga Records. Day's Getting Dark is released on vinyl and cd in December 2022. The sound of Three Blind Mice has often been described as cinematic, with references to Morricone's Spaghetti Westerns, David Lynch's alienating atmospheres, and Quentin Tarantino's pulp. Post-punk, garage, Tex-Mex, surf music, alt-country merge and outline the double soul of the band: the cold and industrial Middle-European one, and the burning and desert American one. A journey at the end of the night among the American deserts, the Southern swamps, and the dark skies of Europe. They shared the stage with: Lydia Lunch, Gallon Drunk, The Jim Jones Revue, The Saints, Hugo Race (ex Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds), Alexander Hacke & Danielle De Picciotto (Einsturzende Neubauten/Crime & The City Solution), Tex Perkins (Beasts of Bourbon), Kid Congo Powers, Slim Cessna’s Auto Club, James Leg, Phil Shoenfelt, Les Hommes Sauvages ft. Kristof Hahn (Swans), Jarboe (Swans).
