The members of Throwlight have known each other since childhood, forging deep bonds long before the band was formed. When underground rapper Rocom, learned that his high school friends, Kevin Betz and Chris Ellis, were starting a metal band, he eagerly stepped in as lead vocalist. With a torrent of lyrics and rap bars, the foundation for their first few songs took shape. However, the final element came together when Rocom's longtime collaborator in rap, King of Somewhere, introduced his synth sounds, blending Hip-Hop with a Heavy Metal soundscape. Top that off with the massive drum skills of Andy Bogert and you have Throwlight. Hailing from South Orange County, the members of Throwlight bring together diverse musical backgrounds in punk, metal, rap, and hardcore. This fusion results in a unique style that combines heavy grooves, catchy leads, and rap verses designed to keep listeners' heads swinging. Their shared history and varied influences have culminated in a sound that is both powerful and distinct.
