Thunderosa is a worldwide and bonafide hard rock band with a career spanning over two decades! "Then came the headliners, Austin/Lockhart’s Thunderosa, purveyors of no-frills rock ‘n’ roll, melting faces and kicking asses!" (The Pitch,Kansas City) Originating in Tucson,AZ. and quickly building a reputation for aggressive, bluesy rock. In 2000, they moved to Syracuse, New York, touring and producing CDs before relocating to Austin, Texas in 2005. Since settling in Austin, they’ve injected Texas with hard-driving original music and infectious energy, with a loyal fanbase known as the “Republic of Thunderosa" family. Thunderosa blends speed boogie, heavy blues, and rock and roll, delivering an earthy, honest, and mind melting sound! Their music is often described as a ZZ Top meets Motorhead, with anthemic riffs, bluesy grooves, and a raw, unapologetic attitude. Tracks like Stone Deaf, Mexico and Holy Roller showcase their Southern rock roots and Lemmy-inspired energy. Thunderosa has toured extensively across the U.S., Europe, Mexico, and Canada, and has shared the stage with major acts such as Reverand Horton Heat, Zeke, COC, Atomic Bitchwax, Nashville Pussy, Supersuckers, ZZ Top, Kid Rock, Stone Temple Pilots, Buck Cherry, Chevelle, Ted Nugent, Skid Row, Twisted Sister.
