Torppsbride is the persona of Amanda, a singer/songwriter from North Jersey USA. Her stage name is a fusion of her last name and nickname "Torpps" and her favorite animated film Corpse Bride, which perfectly reflects the dark and dreamlike world her music inhabits. Inspired by themes of horror, religion, and the occult, and her favorite movies and television, her songs delve into those topics with raw emotion and often eerie beauty. Following the sudden loss of her father in 2022, a fellow musician and her biggest inspiration, Amanda turned to music as a form of tribute and healing. Every note she sings carries a piece of that grief, love, and connection to him. Torppsbride has shared the stage with larger acts such as Patriarchy and Vosh, and performed at the charitable Big and Tall Music Festival benefitting New Concepts for Living. These appearances highlight both her growing presence in the alternative music scene and her commitment to meaningful causes.
