An underground americana act.
Troubadour Blue makes music that pulls you into the present, back to yourself and closer to your neighbor. Unforgettable three-part harmonies dance with rich acoustic instrumentation, blending Americana, bluegrass and ’90s country with raw storytelling. The Nashville five-piece is carving its own path through the heart of American music, stirring up old feelings while giving them somewhere new to go. With roots tracing back over a decade to their college days at Belmont University, founding members and primary writers Daniel Kim Ethridge (guitar/vocals) and Brenna Wheeler (fiddle/vocals) join voices with Max Sadler (bass/vocals), alongside brothers Rico Wallenda (mandolin) and Johnny Therrien (dobro). Their songs find inspiration in the real lives unfolding around them, with Tennessee Gothic exploring family lore, love and heartbreak, addiction and recovery through stories of everyday people. In 2026, Troubadour Blue signed with Unlabeled Records as its flagship artist ahead of Tennessee Gothic, featuring collaborators Jerry Douglas, Mickey Raphael and The SteelDrivers. This fall, the band takes the album on the road in support of country icon Wynonna Judd.
