A nostalgic, underground brazilian jazz artist.
What happens when a German Jazz-Drummer falls in love with a singing Ballerina from Brazil? He soon visits her home country and gets infected by the richness of the Brazilian music culture with its exciting rhythms and colorful melodies. He is so taken by the culture, language and life in the new world that he starts writing down melodies, adopting Brazilian rhythms and launching a band whose name translates as "all blue". Back in Germany, he seeks out like-minded people who would like to play his music. Their interplay immediately attracts great interest, which leads to performances in renowned jazz clubs as well as the Hanover State Opera and takes the ensemble all the way to the finalists of Germany's largest newcomer jazz competition at the famous festival „Leverkusener Jazztage“. The band's success not only attracts the attention of German audiences, but also allows another brilliant Brazilian musician to join the ensemble, which features two exceptional female musicians. After the intensive work on their debut album, the newcomers can’t waint to tell everyone about their love-story with Brazilian music, partly instrumentally but also Portuguese vocally. All together they are "Tudo Azul".
Tudo Azul performs Brazilian jazz, bossa nova, and samba, featuring original compositions and interpretations of classic Brazilian songs, often with Portuguese vocals and prominent flute melodies.
