An underground pop punk act from the local scene.
Hailing from the swampy depths of South Florida, Ursa Arcana is an art punk band with a theatrical flair. Singer/songwriter JD, a visual artist, musician and graphic designer spent many years cutting their teeth in the drag scene before transitioning to create the band project that is Ursa Arcana. Alongside childhood friend Adam Veedell on drums and the burlesque rocker Lily Vile on bass, the band released their debut EP "Buy American" in November 2025 after months of relentless gigging around South Florida. Inspired by the sounds and experiences of growing up queer in suburban Florida, "Buy American" pulls from influences of pop punk, electroclash and dream pop.
