Utolsó Hullám

„Utolsó Hullám” – is a trad goth band from Hungary, the band’s name in English is "Last Wave". They formed in 2019 and since then became one of the biggest gothic acts in Hungary. Their drum machine driven (no laptop) trad goth sound brings the audience back to the mid-80s, the golden era of dark post punk and goth rock. Their sound varies from raw Bauhaus style punk power to soft, almost dreamy, the Cure style melancholy. The first and so far, only album „Szárnytalan Angyal” (EN: Wingless Angel) was released in early 2023 and got some recognition internationally and locally, not much, since the band has no marketing power, but the few were really enthusiastic. Since then, they released a maxi single, “Black Rose”, and double single “Egy elfelejtett csók” (EN: A forgotten kiss). They regularly play in Budapest; and supported such great acts as win Tribes, Date at Midnight and a She Pleasures HerSelf.
