Hamburg-based Veranda Music released their first album “Here’s To Them All” in 1999 which brought up comparisons with Eels, Mark Lanegan, Sparklehorse or even Nick Drake and Joni Mitchell. They have since been touring with Marianne Faithfull, Dr. John and Jonathan Richman, put out Brazilian music single “A Night In Jaçanã” and three further albums. 2021 release “Unter Einfluss” is their first German-language record. Veranda Music are Nicolai von Schweder-Schreiner on vocals and guitars, Lars Precht on bass, Harm Hinz on drums and Felix Huber on keyboards and pretty much everything else. “This is a very good band.” (Robert Wyatt)
