From Karlstad, Sweden. Vulkan started working together in 2006 with an un-named, unestablished configuration. As they grew it later became obvious they were much heavier than they first imagined, which is what inspired the name VULKAN; meaning ‘Volcano’ in Swedish. Mask Of Air, 2011 Observants in 2016. Technatura in 2020. "In the world of heavier progressive rock (or lighter progressive metal, take your pick), this album (Technatura) is unmatched in 2020. Epic-length, wonderfully arranged songs are tempered with shorter numbers with more immediate gratification, just a couple of interludes, and (thankfully) no prelude or intro.
