WARHAMMER are black/death metal alchemists forging chaos from Athens, Greece. Formed in 2012 by vocalist/guitarist Hercules Giotis (initially thrash-death with founding drummer George Tsavdaridis), they pivoted in 2019 toward a darker, more visceral soundscape With two prior full-lengths—Mass Burial (2013) and At the Threshold of Eternity (2017)—WARHAMMER carved a brutal legacy through two European tours and Latin American stages. The 2021 album Ashes and Cinders (via Drakkar Productions) fully embraced blackened death metal, cementing WARHAMMER’s gothic brutality. On July 4, 2025, at 19:00 GMT+3, WARHAMMER unleashed “Surpassing”—the first ritual from their forthcoming album ALGOS (due 2026)—accompanied by a haunting video from Claudio Marino. Prepare for ALGOS: a descent into alchemy of sound, fall, and rebirth.
