Inspired by real-life tragedies and deeply personal trauma, WILDCHAINS was formed in 2021 in Braga, Portugal, by guitarist and songwriter WIZRO, as a way to transform pain, memory, and inner conflict into emotionally intense music. Blending the raw weight of modern metal with the timeless backbone of classic rock, the band crafts a sound that is both familiar and confrontational — driven by honesty, tension, and an uncompromising emotional core. What began as isolated expressions of inner conflict has evolved into a cohesive narrative — one shaped by themes of mortality, guilt, inevitability, and the fragile line between belief and illusion. That narrative now unfolds through The Great Fado I — the first chapter of the band’s debut album. A new phase begins with the introduction of SANDRO as the band’s lead vocalist— the voice that will carry WILDCHAINS forward, both on stage and across the next chapter of the album.
