Wroht

Wroht (pronounced "rot") is a metal band from Oakland, CA that blends slamming death metal groove with technical complexity & intense vocal performances. Wroht’s follow-up to 2018’s “galloping death feast” Worship Rot has been a long time coming. After a four-year hiatus, Wroht returns stronger than ever with Dissolution, an album hailed as "one of the better underground death metal albums I have heard all year" by The Great Metal Debate. The album delivers relentless intensity and showcases more intricate musicianship, slamming breakdowns, and odd time signatures that fans have come to expect, pushing the band’s sound to new extremes. "When compared with Worship Rot, its clear that Wroht have evolved for the better... Just give this a listen and I’m sure it will become one of the best discoveries of 2024. Any death metal fan with a good sense of groove would love Dissolution." - Metalperver Lyrically, the album delves deep into themes of trauma, madness, addiction, and ego death, told through the voices of fractured, tormented characters. "Dissolution" delivers a sonic onslaught and a journey through the darkest corners of the mind. Don't miss Wroht shows throughout the SF Bay Area & CA, and stay tuned for new music coming in 2025.
