A funk artist from the local scene.
Bringing funk to every corner of New York City, funk and soul revivalist X&ND (they/them) has become a driving force in the city's underground music scene. Drawing inspiration from the fearless spirit of Betty Davis, Millie Jackson, and Sly Stone, the theatrical flair of Prince, and the bold swagger of 1970s funk, X&ND fuses infectious grooves, soulful storytelling, and sharp wit into an undeniable live experience. Following a sold-out album release celebration at the iconic Brooklyn venue Elsewhere, X&ND unveils "WHO'S DANCING?", the soundtrack to New York City's viral no-phones funk movement. The album is available now exclusively on TIDAL, capturing the energy, community, and liberation that have made WHO'S DANCING? a cultural phenomenon across the city.
